How is the delivery cost calculated for a specific location?
Delivery cost is calculated based on the distance from our shop in Kew to your address. The easiest way to get your exact cost is to simply enter your postcode or address at checkout—you’ll see the final total upfront with no surprises before you complete your purchase.

When will my flowers be delivered?
We deliver Monday to Saturday across Melbourne. If you place your order before 2:00 PM (local time), we offer same-day flower delivery. During checkout, you can select your preferred delivery date. 

Sending a last-minute gift or forgot a birthday? Our same-day delivery service is here to save the day. For planned surprises, selecting your delivery date in advance ensures your flowers arrive right when they matter most.

Can I choose a specific delivery time?
Yes. Our standard delivery window is 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For guaranteed morning deliveries (before 12:00 PM) or time-sensitive requests, we offer priority courier service for an additional fee. Please contact us for a custom quote.

Do you guarantee delivery times?
We guarantee your flowers will be delivered on the selected date. While we aim to meet your preferred time window (morning/afternoon), exact times may vary due to traffic, weather, or delivery volumes. For important events, we recommend choosing a delivery date one day early or selecting express service.

Can I track my flower delivery?
Yes. Once your bouquet is being prepared, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You’ll also be notified via email as soon as your order has been successfully delivered.

What if the recipient isn't home during delivery?
We understand the thought and emotion behind every flower gift. If no one is home, our delivery team will:

  • Place the flowers in a safe, shaded location

  • Ensure the built-in water source is topped up

  • Leave the gift with a trusted neighbour or concierge, if possible

This ensures your flowers stay fresh and beautiful until received.

Do you deliver to hospitals, businesses, and funeral homes?
Yes. We regularly deliver to Melbourne hospitals, funeral venues, businesses, and event locations. Please include the relevant room/ward number, recipient name, or department to ensure accurate delivery.

Do you offer same-day flower delivery in Melbourne?
Yes – for all orders placed by 2:00 PM (local time). Same-day flower delivery is subject to availability, especially during peak periods like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, so we recommend placing your order early.

Is express flower delivery available?
Yes. Our express flower delivery service prioritises your order to arrive within a 3-hour window for an additional fee. Perfect for early meetings, breakfast surprises, or last-minute milestones. Please contact us to confirm. 

How do I ensure timely delivery for a special occasion?
To ensure perfect timing:

  • Order 1–3 days in advance

  • Leave us notes of the details

  • Provide complete address and contact details

  • Add access notes (e.g., gate code, reception drop-off)

What delivery method do you use?
At Dandelion Florist, we use specialist floral couriers equipped with temperature-controlled vehicles to maintain the quality and freshness of every arrangement. Each order is personally hand-delivered to the recipient’s doorstep, office, or event venue, ensuring it arrives in pristine condition.

My suburb isn’t listed — can you still deliver?
If you don’t see your suburb listed during checkout, please don’t worry — we may still be able to help. Simply contact us and we’ll confirm whether delivery is available to your location.

Do you deliver on public holidays?
We do not deliver on national public holidays (such as Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, or Good Friday). However, we often operate on Victorian state-based public holidays, depending on demand.

📌 Please note:
If your order is placed for delivery on the day before a public holiday and there’s an issue (e.g. incorrect address or no one home to receive it), we may not be able to re-deliver until the next business day.
Due to the perishable nature of flowers, a remake fee and re-delivery charge may apply if the original bouquet cannot be delivered and must be recreated.

To avoid delays or failed deliveries:

  • Double-check the delivery address

  • Ensure someone will be available to receive the flowers

  • Add detailed access notes during checkout

We’re always aiming for a successful first delivery!

What happens if my flower delivery fails?
If a delivery is unsuccessful due to incorrect details or no one being available to accept the flowers, we will attempt a second delivery.
Please note:

  • Redelivery fees may apply

  • Remake fees may apply if the flowers can’t be reused (especially in warm weather)

We’ll contact you with available options as soon as we’re notified of a delivery issue.

Can I send flowers anonymously?
Yes. Simply write "Anonymous" in the sender details or order notes. We will never share your identity without permission unless legally required.

How do I place an order with Dandelion Floral and Foliage Design?
Ordering flowers online is easy:

  1. Choose your arrangement

  2. Select the size and any add-ons

  3. Select delivery date and fill in card message

Can I order flowers over the phone?

Can I make changes to my order?
If we haven’t started preparing or dispatching your flowers, we can help with address updates, message edits, or flower substitutions. Contact us as soon as possible to request changes.

Can I cancel my order?
Yes – for a full refund, please cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery date. If your bouquet is already in production, we’ll do our best and may offer store credit.

What delivery instructions should I provide?
Please share helpful details like:

  • Business names, floor or reception info

  • Apartment access codes or intercom numbers if permitted

  • Hospital ward or bed numbers

The more accurate your details, the smoother the delivery.

What if I gave the wrong address?
Mistakes happen! If you notice incorrect delivery info, contact us immediately. If the bouquet hasn’t been delivered yet, we’ll adjust the address. If it has already gone out, we’ll help you find the best solution.

Will the recipient know how much I’ve spent?
No – we do not include receipts or pricing information with any deliveries. Your gift remains elegant and discreet unless you choose to share the details.

Is it safe to order flowers online from Dandelion Florist?
Yes. We use SSL encryption to protect your payment and personal information — the same level of security used by major banks. Your privacy and trust matter to us.

Which payment methods do you accept?

What if my payment doesn’t go through?

How should I care for my flowers?
Each Dandelion bouquet arrives:

  • In our signature white floral carry bag

  • With a built-in water vessel to keep flowers hydrated

  • Beautifully wrapped for a luxury unboxing experience

To prolong freshness:

  • Keep in water until you're ready to transfer to a vase

  • Trim stems diagonally and use included flower food

  • Keep out of direct sun, heaters, and fruit bowls

  • Change water every 2–3 days and remove wilted stems

Why do some flowers arrive in bud form?
We often send premium blooms in bud so they open gradually at home. This ensures a longer-lasting arrangement and a more beautiful unfolding experience.

Are the flowers fresh? How long will they stay fresh?
Our flowers are sourced directly from high-quality flower bases and transported via cold chain to ensure maximum freshness. Under normal conditions, the vase life is approximately 5-7 days. You can extend this period by following the included "Care Guide" (e.g., timely watering, trimming the stems, avoiding direct sunlight, etc.).

Why do the flowers I received look different from the pictures?
We strive to make our products match the pictures shown. However, due to the seasonal nature of floral supplies, availability, and the handmade aspect of our bouquets, the actual arrangement might have slight variations in the types of flowers, colours, or packaging style. We always ensure the overall style, colour scheme, and value remain consistent. We appreciate your understanding of the uniqueness and natural beauty of floral art.

What if my flowers don’t look fresh upon delivery?
Please email us a photo within 24 hours. If your order doesn’t meet our quality standards, we’ll organise a replacement or refund right away.

Where do you source your flowers?
We work closely with local Australian flower growers and selected sustainable international farms. All flowers are market-fresh and premium quality.

Do you offer gift add-ons with flowers?
Yes! You can include chocolates, candles, premium card, teddy bears, and more when placing your order online.

Can I customise my flower arrangement?
Yes – choose your preferred colour palette, size upgrade, or add-on gifts. For a completely custom design, contact us for a quote.

Can I customize a bouquet?
We currently offer themed bouquets and monthly subscription packages. You can leave a note with any special requests during checkout (e.g., preferred colour schemes, flowers to avoid), and our florists will do their best to accommodate them, although we cannot guarantee 100% customization. For large orders requiring specific flowers, we recommend contacting us for inquiries.

Do you offer flower subscriptions?
Yes – choose from weekly, fortnightly, or monthly flower deliveries for homes or businesses. Pause or change anytime.
